Agartala: Sept 24: The BJP-IPFT alliance organised a joint election procession and market meeting today at Kowaifung Bazar ahead of the Village Committee elections scheduled for September 28.
The procession passed through different areas of Kowaifung Bazar before culminating in a public meeting. A large number of workers and supporters of both parties participated in the programme.
Jolaibari MLA and Minister Sukla Charan Noatia urged party workers and supporters to work together at the grassroots level and reach out to voters ahead of the election. He stressed the need to give importance to the problems, expectations and views of local people.
Jolaibari Panchayat Samiti chairman Tapas Dutta, BJP South district leader Chathai Mog, IPFT central committee AGS Harinath Tripura, IPFT leader Jetiram Tripura and other leaders and workers of both parties were present.
