Tripura, 07 Sep 2026: Police at the Khowai Women’s Police Station have detained three youths in connection with an alleged molestation case involving a young woman.
According to police sources, the incident allegedly took place while the woman was travelling by a tom-tom from the Ramchandraghat area towards Khowai. The three accused have been identified as Biplab Das, Suman Shukla Baidya and Pranoy Das.
The woman subsequently lodged a complaint at the Khowai Women’s Police Station. Based on her complaint, police registered Case No. 23/2026 under Sections 74 and 75(1)(3)(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
Following the complaint, police detained all three accused and produced them before the court.
