In a significant administrative reshuffle aimed at strengthening policing and improving operational efficiency, the Tripura Police Headquarters on Wednesday transferred 12 police officers, including seven Officers-in-Charge (OCs) of police stations across the state. The transfers have been made with immediate effect in the public interest.
According to an official order issued by the Police Headquarters, several key police stations have received new Officers-in-Charge as part of the exercise. Inspector Sanjit Sen, who was serving as OC of Belonia Police Station, has been transferred and posted as the new Officer-in-Charge of West Agartala Police Station. In turn, Inspector Rana Chatterjee, the former OC of West Agartala Police Station, has been posted as OC of Amtali Police Station.
Inspector Krishnadhan Sarkar has been transferred from Khowai Police Station and appointed as the new Officer-in-Charge of East Agartala Police Station. Inspector Paritosh Das, previously serving at Amtali Police Station, has been posted as OC of NCC Police Station.
The reshuffle also includes Inspector Bishnu Ch. Das, who has been transferred from Baikhora Police Station to Srinagar Police Station as Officer-in-Charge. Inspector Subimal Barman, who was serving in West District, has been appointed as the new OC of Belonia Police Station.
Further, Inspector Arunodaya Das has been shifted from Srinagar Police Station to Baikhora Police Station, while Inspector Prajit Malakar has been transferred from NCC Police Station to Khowai Police Station as Officer-in-Charge.
The transfer order also covers four women police officers. I/C Woman Inspector Shipra Bala Chanda has been moved from South Tripura District to Tripura Police Control Branch (TPCB). I/C Woman Inspector Munna Majumder has been transferred from West Agartala Women Police Station to South Tripura District.
Additionally, Woman Sub-Inspector Mousumi Datta has been posted from TPCB to Bishalgarh Women Police Station, while Woman Sub-Inspector Ripita Bhattacharjee has been transferred from Bishalgarh Women Police Station to West Agartala Women Police Station.
The Tripura Police Headquarters stated that the transfers have been carried out in the public interest and took effect immediately, as part of the department’s routine administrative exercise to enhance law enforcement and ensure efficient policing across the state.
