Khowai: Apr 05. BJP state president and Rajya Sabha member Rajib Bhattacharjee on Sunday asserted that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is set to win all 28 seats in the upcoming ADC elections and form a “triple-engine government” in the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC).
Addressing election campaign events in Khowai in support of party candidate Ananta Debbarma in the 9-Asharambari-Halahali constituency, Bhattacharjee said both he and Chief Minister Manik Saha are confident of a complete victory, citing strong public support across the region. He urged voters to back BJP candidates to ensure faster development and improved welfare initiatives in ADC areas.
Bhattacharjee further urged voters to support BJP candidates, stating that a BJP-led council would accelerate development and improve the delivery of government schemes in tribal regions.
Alleging attacks on BJP workers by Tipra Motha Party (TMP) supporters, Bhattacharjee warned that if those involved were not arrested within 24 hours, the party would take “strict steps.” He added that the issue has been raised with the Election Commission.
Criticising the opposition, he said they are “fearful” ahead of the polls and accused them of misleading voters.
He reiterated that the BJP is committed to the development and welfare of indigenous communities and expressed confidence in forming the next ADC administration.
During the event, a total of 113 voters from 35 families, including several leaders, switched allegiance from the TMP to the BJP.
