Agartala, 02 Feb 2026: The Tripura government has clarified that normal work will continue in all government offices, courts and state-owned undertakings on February 12, 2026, despite a nationwide strike call given by an all-India employees’ organisation.
An all-India employees’ body has announced a nationwide bandh on February 12, 2026, to press various demands of employees. A state-level employees’ organisation has also extended support to the bandh and appealed to state government employees to participate in it.
In this context, the General Administration (AR) Department of the Tripura government has issued a clear directive stating that all government offices, courts and government-owned corporations and organisations will function normally on the said date. All government employees, including those working in state undertakings and organisations, are expected to report for duty and perform their responsibilities as on any other working day.
The department has further requested the concerned authorities to submit reports on employee attendance in their respective offices, undertakings and organisations by 12 noon on February 12.
