Agartala: Nov 19. IPFT party leader and Cabinet Minister of Cooperation, Tribal Welfare (TRP & PTG) Sukla Charan Noatia has been formally invited as a Guest Speaker at a high-profile National Level Seminar in New Delhi on November 20. The event, organised by the All Bodo Students Union (ABSU) and Bodoland accord-signatory bodies, will focus on the crucial topic: “Amendment of Article 280 and the Sixth Schedule” under the 125th Constitution Amendment Bill, 2019.
The seminar will take place at Mavalankar Hall, Constitution Club, followed by a Dharna at Jantar Mantar on November 21 urging timely implementation of long-pending accords especially the Bodo Peace Accord and demanding stronger constitutional protections for Sixth Schedule areas.
According to the official invitation issued by ABSU President Dipen Boro and General Secretary Khanindra Basumatary, the two-day national movement aims to draw attention to the Government of India’s delay in resolving tribal issues and extending constitutional rights equitably across the Northeast.
The union emphasized that Noatia’s presence would “strengthen the collective voice” of all Sixth Schedule communities further reinforcing Tripura’s proactive role in advocating for tribal empowerment.
