Tripura, 19 Nov 2025: The state government will recruit over 400 personnel across multiple departments. This decision was taken in the State Cabinet meeting held yesterday. Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury shared the details during a press conference at the Secretariat today.
According to Minister Chowdhury, 97 vacant posts under the Cooperative Department will be filled. These vacancies include posts such as Auditor, Investigator, and Statistical Investigator. Recruitment for these fixed-pay Group-C posts will be conducted through JRBT.

He further stated that 28 ICDS Supervisor posts under the Social Welfare & Social Education Department will be filled through TPSC. The Urban Development Department has created 14 new posts, including Civil Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineer, and Public Health Engineer, and the process to fill these posts has been approved.
The Cabinet has also approved recruitment of 8 faculty members and supporting staff on a contractual basis for the Tripura Film & Television Institute under the Information & Cultural Affairs Department.
To strengthen the state’s Anganwadi services, the Social Welfare & Social Education Department will open 119 new Anganwadi Centres. For operating these centres, 119 Anganwadi Helpers and 119 Anganwadi Workers will be recruited.
Additionally, the School Education Department has approved recruitment for 22 Night Guard (Group-D) posts under the Tripura Secondary Education Department.
In total, 407 posts across various departments will be filled, which the Tourism Minister described as a reflection of the state government’s people-centric approach.
Minister Sushanta Chowdhury also informed that apart from recruitment decisions, the Cabinet approved several key proposals, including:
Upgrading TIT to Tripura Technical University Upgrading Agartala Women’s College to a State Government Women’s University Revising the Tripura Journalist Pension Scheme to extend additional benefits to journalists
