Agartala: Nov 19. Udaipur is set for its debut Unity Promo Fest, kicking off tomorrow with a massive turnout expected. Organised by Tripura Tourism, the festival’s star attraction will be renowned Indian singer Papon, whose performance is scheduled for Thursday at 8 PM. Excitement across the temple town has already hit peak levels.
At a press conference on Wednesday, Gomati District Magistrate Rinku Lather announced that the event will be inaugurated at 7 PM on Wednesday at the Chanban Sports Complex. Authorities anticipate a footfall of over 30,000 people, prompting extensive security and logistical arrangements.
The DM said that ensuring public safety and smooth crowd management is their top priority, with dedicated monitoring across all entry and activity zones.
To maintain security, personnel from the police, TSR, and para-military forces will be deployed throughout the venue. Entry of flammable items or any fire-risk materials will be strictly prohibited.
For the past several days, the Chanban Sports Complex has been buzzing with nonstop preparations. Senior officials, including the DM and Superintendent of Police Kiran Kumar K, have been visiting the venue daily to oversee arrangements and ensure a seamless experience for visitors.
The Unity Promo Fest is expected to boost tourism and project Tripura’s cultural vibrancy on a larger platform. With Papon headlining the event, the festival is poised to offer Udaipur residents an unforgettable evening of music, lights, and celebration.
