Agartala: Nov 12. In a major push to boost tourism in Tripura, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha has proposed the development of the Matabari Tourist Circuit, aimed at enhancing connectivity and showcasing the state’s cultural and natural wealth.
During a review meeting with Union Minister for DoNER, Shri Jyotiraditya M. Scindia on Wednesday, the proposal received a positive response, with the Union Minister assuring support for funding key developmental works under the project.
The proposed 4 nights and 5 days circuit will span across Agartala, Neermahal, Sepahijala, Udaipur, Chabimura, and Dumboor, offering travelers a blend of royal heritage, wildlife, scenic beauty, and spiritual landmarks.
According to officials the initiative will strengthen tourism infrastructure, create local employment, and position Tripura as a holistic tourist destination in the North East.
