Agartala: Nov 07: Founder of Tipra Motha and Royal Scion Bubagra Pradyot Bikram Manikya Debbarma on Thursday urged students to lead a stress-free life, stay rooted in their identity, and spread love and happiness while pursuing success. He was addressing the Interaction-cum-Orientation Session with recipients of the Maharaja Kirit Bikram Manikya Scholarship Programme (MKBMSP) at Manikya Enclave on Thursday afternoon.
Speaking at the event, Bubagra Pradyot said, “The main purpose of starting this scholarship programme is to offer love and principle value to students. When you are happy, you can spread more happiness.” He added that true strength lies in staying simple, humble and approachable, stressing that “money can bring only limited happiness, but friendship, loyalty and respect are earned through love and good deeds.”
Highlighting the need for self-awareness and confidence, he told the students, “The day you become confident as a human being, it will be difficult to defeat you. Even a poor person with courage can shake a rich man.” Citing examples from daily life, he noted how power often makes people forget their roots, reminding the students to remain grounded and never lose touch with the people.
Encouraging the youth to overcome stress and negativity, he said, “Start every day fresh. When you are tense, you make mistakes. When you are in pain, you cannot spread laughter. First inspire yourself, then inspire others.”
Drawing from personal experience, the royal scion reminded students that academic ranks do not define one’s potential. “I was not a topper in school, yet I was invited to speak at Oxford, Cambridge and Harvard. Life is not only about success or failure it is about self-love and consistency,” he said.
In an inspiring message to students from remote areas, Bubagra Pradyot remarked, “If a lady from Sabroom becomes an IAS officer, and the same people who once discriminated against her will salute, that will be the real achievement of mine.”
He further announced plans to expand the scholarship programme in the coming days, stating, “This year, we helped 45 students. In the next phase, we aim to support 70 to 100 more.”
Emphasizing unity and compassion, Pradyot concluded, “We all love Tripura and we all love India, but we are divided within ourselves by region and religion. Let us first overcome these short-term divides. Happiness and humanity should be our real goals.”

The programme was attended by Minister of State (MoS) Brishaketu Debbarma, TTAADC former CEO and retired IAS officer Chandra Kumar Jamatia, and Director of Oriental IAS, Shailesh Kumar.
