Tripura, 29 Oct 2025: There are now ample opportunities within Tripura to access advanced healthcare services, and people must overcome the tendency to seek treatment outside the state said Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha.
Speaking at the 55th “Mukhyamantri Samipeshu” (Meet the Chief Minister) programme, the Chief Minister emphasized that the government is implementing several initiatives to provide modern and quality healthcare to all citizens.
During the event held at his official residence, Dr. Saha interacted directly with people from different parts of the state who came seeking help most of them for medical assistance and health-related issues. The Chief Minister listened to their grievances attentively and instructed concerned officials to take necessary steps for prompt resolution.
Among those who met the Chief Minister were Anupam Bhowmik from Dhaleswar, K. Tangmai from Jampuihill in North Tripura, Seema Sarkar from Simna, Jatan Das from Udaipur, Narendra Chandra Malakar from Unakoti district, and Sneha Sarkar from Kamalnagar, along with several others from various parts of the state.
Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha personally took note of each issue and directed the officials present to initiate appropriate measures.
Senior officials present at the programme included the Chief Minister’s Secretary Dr. P.K. Chakraborty, Health and Family Welfare Secretary Kiran Gitte, Social Welfare and Social Education Secretary Tapas Roy, Director of Health Services Dr. Tapan Majumder, and the Medical Superintendents of GBP Hospital, IGM Hospital, and Atal Bihari Regional Cancer Hospital, among others.
