Agartala, February 9:<\/strong> A major controversy has erupted in Tripura over the reservation policy for Scheduled Tribes<\/strong> (ST) in government jobs. The state\u2019s Department of Youth Affairs & Sports recently issued a recruitment notification for 301 Junior Physical Instructor posts. However, only 18 of these positions have been reserved for ST<\/strong> candidates far below the legally mandated reservation percentage leading to widespread outrage on social media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Tripura\u2019s reservation laws, 31% of government job vacancies must be reserved for ST candidates.
