Addressing the event as the chief guest, he acknowledged the efforts of Tripura Police in reducing crime significantly across the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event commenced with a parade by TSR, Tripura Police, and traffic personnel, who greeted the CM Manik Saha stated that the state government is committed to maintaining law and order, citing that overall crime in 2024 decreased by 19.3% compared to 2023. According to the latest NCRB data, Tripura ranks third among 28 states for the lowest crime rate, and eighth for the lowest rates of physical and women-related crimes. The Election Commission also recognized the police force for its efficiency in conducting the elections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Chief Minister stressed that the police serve as a critical support system for justice, especially for vulnerable individuals. The state police played a significant role in the ongoing anti-drug campaign, registering 1,666 NDPS cases, arresting 3,079 individuals, and seizing narcotics worth \u20b9867 crore in 2024\u2014a 106% increase from 2023. Additionally, over 1.64 crore cannabis plants were destroyed in 2024, a 132% increase from the previous year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On illegal immigration, CM Manik Saha highlighted strict actions taken against Bangladeshi, Rohingya, and other foreign nationals, with a notable 36.6% increase in arrests compared to 2023. In combating cybercrimes, police recovered \u20b92.86 crore from fraudulent accounts and reimbursed \u20b917.61 lakh to victims in the past year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CM Manik Saha further detailed measures to support police personnel, including enhanced rations, allowances, and salaries. Training on new criminal laws was provided to over 5,000 personnel. Plans for expanding police infrastructure, including new stations and cyber units, were also announced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Several awards were presented during the event, including:<br \/>\u2022 Lifetime Achiever Award: Former police officer Kajal Ghosh,<br \/>\u2022 Best TSR Clerk: Nayak Subedar Bipul Karji,<br \/>\u2022 Best Civil Police Clerk: Head Clerk Uttam Biswas,<br \/>\u2022 Best Investigator (2024): Sub-Inspector Sanjay Majumdar,<br \/>\u2022 Policeman of the Year: Additional SP Dhruba Nath,<br \/>\u2022 Best Technology-Driven Station: New Capital Complex Police Station,<br \/>\u2022 Best Beat Management: Kamalpur Police Station,<br \/>\u2022 Best Police Stations (2024): Jointly awarded to Birganj and Damcherra Police Stations,<br \/>\u2022 Best Beat District: Dhalai District, and<br \/>\u2022 Best Technology Unit: KTDS Police Training Academy.<br \/>The Third TSR Battalion was awarded the title of Best TSR Battalion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CM Manik Saha handed over trophies and certificates to awardees and provided financial aid to the families of two police personnel who lost their lives in the line of duty. The event was attended by Chief Secretary J.K.
