The incident took place in the Uttar Hurua area under Dharmanagar sub-division on Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p3\">According to reports, a group of five to six workers had been engaged in tree-cutting near Nitai Ashram for the past ten days. Around 1:30 p.m., a large tree branch fell and struck Kuti Malakar, a worker from Udharbond, Silchar, Assam, on the face. The impact caused severe bleeding, and he fell unconscious from the tree.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p3\">Fellow workers immediately alerted the Dharmanagar fire brigade. Fire service personnel rescued Malakar and rushed him to the Dharmanagar District Hospital, where doctors declared him dead upon arrival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p3\">The Dharmanagar police were informed and registered a case of unnatural death. Police have begun investigating the incident and informed the deceased\u2019s family. The body will be handed over to the family after post-mortem formalities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p3\">This tragic event follows another fatality on Sunday in the Panisagar Pekuchhara area, where a worker died after being crushed under a tree.
