Agartala, Dec 26: Service to humanity is the highest form of religion, guided by the principles of compassion and righteousness, Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha said today. He was addressing a winter clothes distribution program organized by Mah\u0101n\u0101m Angan at its Banamalipur premises in observance of the 121st birth anniversary of Vaishnavacharya Shrim\u0101n Mah\u0101n\u0101mbrata Brahmachariji.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister emphasized that the essence of religion lies in eradicating negativity from the mind and working for the welfare of society. He lauded Mah\u0101n\u0101mbrata Brahmachariji\u2019s life of service and spiritual teachings, noting his efforts to spread San\u0101tan Dharma globally, including his iconic address in Chicago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CM Dr. Manik Saha further announced that \u20b930 lakh would be allocated by the Agartala Municipal Corporation for the infrastructural development and beautification of the Mah\u0101n\u0101m Angan temple. He praised the initiative and urged everyone to carry forward the legacy of Mah\u0101n\u0101mbrata Brahmachariji by promoting harmony and service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The program was graced by several dignitaries, including Agartala Municipal Corporation<\/strong> Mayor and MLA Dipak Majumder, corporator Ratna Dutta, President of Mah\u0101n\u0101mbrata Brahmachari Society Dr. Sanjay Nath, and Chairman of the Advisory Committee Dr. Tapan Debnath.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The welcome address was delivered by Sudip Kumar Roy, General Secretary of the Nikhil Tripura Vaishnavacharya Shrim\u0101n Mah\u0101n\u0101mbrata Brahmachari Society. After the ceremonial offering of floral tributes to Mah\u0101n\u0101mbrata Brahmachariji\u2019s portrait, the event concluded with the distribution of winter clothes to around 500 underprivileged individuals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
