Agartala, Nov 30:<\/strong> The state government of Tripura is actively working to establish a medical hub to further enhance healthcare services in the region. Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha highlighted the advancements in the state\u2019s healthcare infrastructure while inaugurating the 21st Annual State Conference of the Hepatitis Foundation of Tripura at the Dasharath Deb Memorial Auditorium in Agartala.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking at the event, the Chief Minister mentioned that Tripura has made significant strides in the medical field. Successful kidney transplants are being conducted in the state, and efforts are underway to introduce liver transplants in the near future. \u201cThe current government is committed to improving healthcare services and developing advanced infrastructure. Plans are also in place to establish a super-specialty hospital to provide modern medical services to the people,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CM Dr. Manik Saha praised the expertise and dedication of the state\u2019s medical professionals, noting that they are effectively addressing complex health issues, which has led to a notable reduction in the number of patients being referred outside the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Chief Minister lauded the Hepatitis Foundation of Tripura for its consistent contribution to health and social initiatives since its inception in 2002. He also presented awards to several members of the foundation for their outstanding contributions in various fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event featured speeches by several dignitaries, including Dr. K.P. Debnath, who delivered the welcome address, and the foundation\u2019s General Secretary, Dibakar Debnath. Others who spoke at the conference included Professor Dr. Sanjib Debbarma, Director of the Health and Family Welfare Department, Dr. Pradip Bhowmik , and Dr. N.L. Bhowmik .
