Held from <strong>October 25-26<\/strong> at <strong>Eastwood Village<\/strong> in <strong>Jalandhar, Punjab<\/strong>, the two-day event, organized by the <strong>North-East Students\u2019 Organization Jalandhar (NESOJ)<\/strong>, saw a strong turnout with nearly <strong>800 to 1,000 attendees<\/strong>. Addressing the audience, Dr. Agrawal emphasized the significance of cultural exchange as a bridge between communities, underscoring the <strong>district administration\u2019s support for Northeast students<\/strong> and encouraging their involvement in sharing their heritage with the broader community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Attendees enjoyed a colorful array of events, including <strong>traditional dances, folk music performances, fashion shows, interactive sessions, and art exhibitions<\/strong>. The event celebrated the cultural heritage of Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, and Sikkim, bringing together a wide variety of traditional crafts, foods, and talents from these regions. An ethnic <strong>fashion show, skits, and a band performance<\/strong> added to the captivating atmosphere, as guests explored <strong>exhibitions<\/strong> of sustainable handicrafts and authentic <strong>Northeastern cuisine<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On <strong>Day 2<\/strong>, the festival welcomed esteemed guests such as <strong>Dr. Saurabh Lakhanpal<\/strong>, Senior Dean of <strong>Division of Student Welfare<\/strong> at <strong>Lovely Professional University<\/strong>, <strong>Er. Temsuzulu<\/strong>, Deputy General Manager of the Marketing Division at <strong>Jalandhar Terminal, Indian Oil Corporation Limited<\/strong>, and <strong>Er. Yashpal Aithmian<\/strong>, Chief Manager at <strong>Indian Oil Corporation Limited<\/strong>. Their presence underscored the event\u2019s goal of fostering community connections and celebrating Northeast India\u2019s cultural richness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Latiphar Syiem<\/strong>, Convenor of <strong>Northeast Fiesta 2024<\/strong>, expressed heartfelt gratitude to all the partnership associations and student bodies representing the Northeastern states in Punjab. He was joined by <strong>Himan Debbarma<\/strong>, President of NESOJ, who thanked participants and guests, underscoring the importance of unity and cultural exchange.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Conceptualized and produced by <strong>TOTELL<\/strong>, a startup community from the Northeast, the Northeast Fiesta once again highlighted the importance of cultural celebration in fostering mutual respect and appreciation among communities.
