Agartala, October 23, 2024: <\/strong>After the Durga Puja festivities, Tripura Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha resumed the \u2018Mukhyamantri Samipeshu\u2019 initiative, a direct public outreach program aimed at addressing the grievances and needs of citizens. During the 34th session held today at his official residence, CM Saha listened to various appeals, with a significant number concerning medical aid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Key Interventions:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Loknath Bhowmik\u2019s Family Receives Immediate Help<\/strong>: Loknath Bhowmik, a visually impaired resident of Bhagolpur, Narsinghgarh, along with his visually impaired parents, approached the CM for financial aid due to the dire economic condition of the family. The CM directed the Mission Director of the National Health Mission, Dr. Samit Roy Chowdhury, to offer the required assistance. Additionally, CM Saha instructed the Social Welfare and Social Education Department to explore further avenues for aid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Sulekha Chakraborty\u2019s Medical Appeal<\/strong>: Sulekha Chakraborty, suffering from kidney failure and vision problems, sought financial assistance for her treatment. The CM immediately directed Dr. Shankar Chakraborty, the Medical Superintendent of GBP Hospital, to provide the necessary medical aid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Tinku Rishidas Seeks Help after Severe Injury<\/strong>: Tinku Rishidas, who lost both arms following an electrical accident in January, requested financial help due to the loss of income. The CM directed immediate assistance from the National Health Mission and tasked the Social Welfare Department with finding long-term support solutions for the family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Support for Sushanta Modak<\/strong>: A rickshaw puller suffering from a neurological condition, Sushanta Modak, was unable to work and sought help for treatment. CM Saha instructed GBP Hospital\u2019s medical team to ensure he receives appropriate care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the session, CM Saha reiterated his commitment to standing by the people of Tripura, providing timely solutions, and ensuring no one is left behind. Key officials from the health and welfare departments, including the Secretary of Social Welfare Tapas Roy and medical experts, were present to address the issues on the spot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
