A \u20b975 crore project proposal for the development of world-class infrastructure around Neermahal is awaiting central approval. The new amenities, developed with a budget of \u20b94.02 crore, include a Tourist Facilitation Center, a souvenir shop, a welcome gate, a watchtower, a ticket counter, seating arrangements, and parking spaces, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking at the event, the Tourism Minister said, \u201cThe growth of a tourist destination first benefits the local community. Our government will continue to invest in building infrastructure, but it is equally important for the local population to take responsibility for preserving Neermahal\u2019s legacy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>MLA Kishore Barman also shared his thoughts at the event, underscoring the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in promoting tourism across India. He praised the state government for recognizing and nurturing the potential of Neermahal, which was built during the royal era but has now gained prominence as a leading tourist spot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event was also attended by Melaghar Municipality Chairperson Anamika Ghosh Pal Roy, Nalchar Panchayat Samiti Chairman Swapan Kumar Das, and the Secretary of the Rudrasagar Udbastu Matsyajibi Cooperative Society, Parmeshwar Das. The ceremony was presided over by Pabitra Das, President of the cooperative society.
