Agartala 16 September, 2024: <\/strong>Tripura\u2019s overall development has gained momentum under the leadership of the double-engine government, said Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Speaking at the inauguration of the newly constructed Siddheshwari Temple in Barakathal, Mohanpur, Adityanath praised the state government’s dedicated efforts in creating a conducive environment for progress. He urged the people to support the government in maintaining this momentum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event was attended by Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, Lok Sabha MP Biplab Kumar Deb, Rajya Sabha MP Rajib Bhattacharjee, and Maharaja Pradyot Bikram Manikya, among other dignitaries. After the inauguration, the Uttar Pradesh CM and other guests participated in rituals at the temple.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his speech, Yogi Adityanath highlighted that Sanatan Dharma teaches respect for all religions and called upon followers to safeguard their beliefs while respecting others. He emphasized that Tripura\u2019s royal lineage has always been mindful of preserving religious harmony. Adityanath also credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision and leadership for India’s current path of progress and noted that Tripura has seen remarkable improvements in law and order under the present government, something previously unimaginable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, in his address, pointed out that during the past 35 years, atheism had gained prominence in Tripura. However, since the new government took office, a resurgence of faith is evident, with people placing their trust in God. He mentioned that Tripura is home to several religious sites, including the Tripurasundari Temple, Chaturdasha Devata Temple, and Kasba Temple, and expressed optimism that the Siddheshwari Temple would soon become a prominent religious tourism site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Saha credited the successful construction of the temple to the divine blessings of Shantikali and the dedicated efforts of Chittaranjan Maharaj, under whose leadership 25 ashrams are operating in the state, providing spiritual education to nearly 1,500 students. Many of these students have gone on to pursue higher studies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maharaja Pradyot Bikram Manikya also spoke at the event, underscoring Tripura’s tradition of respecting all religions, a value upheld by the state’s royal heritage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other speakers at the event included Dr. Sachindranath Sinha, Central Co-Minister of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Padma Shri Shantiranjan Maharaj, and Mohant Gayamani Maharaj.
