{"id":5810,"date":"2024-08-06T12:10:35","date_gmt":"2024-08-06T12:10:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aguli.in\/?p=5810"},"modified":"2024-08-06T12:10:37","modified_gmt":"2024-08-06T12:10:37","slug":"charging-stations-of-electric-vehicles","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aguli.in\/index.php\/2024\/08\/06\/charging-stations-of-electric-vehicles\/","title":{"rendered":"CHARGING STATIONS OF ELECTRIC VEHICLES"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>PIB News, August 6, 2024: <\/strong>Under Phase-II of FAME India scheme, Ministry of Heavy Industries (MHI) sanctioned Rs. 800 Crore as capital subsidy to three Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoPNG) for establishment of 7,432 Electric Vehicle Public Charging Stations (EVPCS). Further, MHI sanctioned additional amount of Rs.73.50 Crore under FAME-II scheme to OMCs for upgradation of 980\u00a0numbers of existing low capacity EVPCS\u00a0across the country.Out of total 8412 EVPCS allotted to OMCs under FAME-II scheme, 438 EVPCS are sanctioned for installation in Madhya Pradesh and 552 EVPCS in Rajasthan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"575\" src=\"https:\/\/aguli.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/pexels-mikebirdy-110844-1-1024x575.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5813\" title=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/aguli.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/pexels-mikebirdy-110844-1-1024x575.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/aguli.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/pexels-mikebirdy-110844-1-scaled-760x427.avif 760w, https:\/\/aguli.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/pexels-mikebirdy-110844-1-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/aguli.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/pexels-mikebirdy-110844-1-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/aguli.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/pexels-mikebirdy-110844-1-1536x863.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/aguli.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/pexels-mikebirdy-110844-1-2048x1151.jpg 2048w, https:\/\/aguli.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/pexels-mikebirdy-110844-1-860x483.jpg 860w, https:\/\/aguli.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/pexels-mikebirdy-110844-1-150x84.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">pixels.com<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Ministry of Heavy Industries is currently implementing the following schemes on pan India basis including the State of Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan to promote Electric Vehicles (EVs) in the country: &#8211;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Electric Mobility Promotion Scheme (EMPS) 2024 with an outlay of\u00a0 \u20b9 778 Crore for a period 6 months, w.e.f. 1<sup>st<\/sup>April 2024 till 30<sup>th<\/sup>September 2024, which provides incentives to buyers of e-2W and e-3W.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Production Linked Incentive Scheme for Automobile and Auto Component Industry (PLI-AUTO) with a budgetary outlay of\u00a0 \u20b9 25,938 Crore. The scheme incentivises various categories of electric vehicles including e-2W, e-3W, e-4W, e-buses &amp; e-trucks also.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>iii. Production Linked Incentive Scheme for manufacturing of Advanced Chemistry Cell (PLI-ACC) Battery Storage in the country with a budgetary outlay of \u20b9 18,100 Crore.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"4\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Scheme to Promote Manufacturing of Electric Passenger Cars in India to attract investments from global EV manufacturers and promote India as a manufacturing destination for e-vehicles.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Further, following initiatives have also been taken up by the Government of India to increase the use of electric vehicles in the country: \u2013<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>GST on electric vehicles and chargers\/ charging stations for electric vehicles has been reduced to 5%.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ministry of Road Transport &amp; Highways (MoRTH) announced that battery-operated vehicles will be given green license plates and be exempted from permit requirements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>MoRTH issued a notification advising states to waive road tax on EVs, which in turn will help reduce the initial cost of EVs.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>This information was given by the Minister of State for Heavy Industries and Steel, Shri Bhupathi Raju Srinivasa Varma&nbsp;in a written reply in the Lok Sabha today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>PIB News, August 6, 2024: Under Phase-II of FAME India scheme, Ministry of Heavy Industries (MHI) sanctioned Rs. 800 Crore as capital subsidy to three Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoPNG) for establishment of 7,432 Electric Vehicle Public Charging Stations (EVPCS).
