She stressed that children should celebrate Diwali only under adult supervision and recommended wearing light cotton clothes. She also suggested keeping water nearby as a precautionary measure during celebrations.<br><br>Highlighting the risks of firecracker-related eye injuries, Dr. Agastya cautioned people against rubbing their eyes or using clothes to wipe an injured eye. In case of an eye injury, she advised gently washing the eye with clean water and immediately visiting the nearest eye hospital for emergency medical attention. She also warned that firecracker injuries can damage different parts of the eye, including the cornea, lens and retina, potentially leading to serious complications such as corneal abrasions, lens displacement and retinal detachment.<br><br>Dr. Lavanya Hira urged people not to attempt self-medication or use eye drops without consulting a doctor. She emphasised that children must enjoy firecrackers only under proper adult supervision and encouraged people to seek immediate medical assistance in case of any eye-related problem.<br><br>Speaking about the hospital&#8217;s facilities, Dr. Hira said Sharp Sight ASG Eye Hospital has been providing services in Agartala for the past three years. The hospital offers advanced cataract surgery and microsurgical procedures, retina services, including retinal injections and surgeries, glaucoma treatment, oculoplasty and refractive eye procedures.<br><br>The doctors also informed that emergency services and free services are available at the hospital.
