His physically disabled son, Sanjit Das, was also unwell and had limited mobility.<br><br>According to Sanjit, when the fire broke out, he desperately tried to reach his father inside the house. However, the flames spread rapidly, making it impossible for him to enter. He repeatedly attempted to extinguish the fire by throwing buckets of water towards the burning roof but could not control the blaze.<br><br>Speaking about the possible cause of the fire, Sanjit said his father regularly smoked bidis and kept matchboxes inside the room. He suspected that a burning bidi might have come into contact with the mosquito net, triggering the fire. However, the exact cause of the incident has not yet been confirmed.<br><br>Sanjit said he tried for a long time to enter the house and rescue his father, but the intense flames prevented him from approaching the room. By the time fire personnel and police arrived and the house was opened, his father was found lying motionless and had already died.<br><br>After receiving information, fire and emergency services personnel rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control.
