Agartala, Nov 3: Traditional folk dances of Tripura’s Mog community were showcased at the Lokrang Mahotsav 2026 in Jaipur, Rajasthan, where artists of the Sangrain Dance Academy performed Sangrain and WA dances, organisers said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The two-day cultural festival, held on November 2 and 3, provided a national platform for the Tripura-based troupe to present the community’s distinctive traditions, folk expressions and artistic heritage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The performers presented the traditional dance forms through colourful choreography, traditional costumes and intricate movements, offering audiences a glimpse into the cultural practices of one of Tripura’s indigenous communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The cultural contingent was led by Raju Mog, a recipient of the Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar, who guided the team in representing the state’s cultural diversity at the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
