Kathika was reportedly working as an Upper Division Clerk (UDC) at the District Magistrate\u2019s Office in Sepahijala district.<br \/><br \/>According to the family, Kathika was admitted to the nursing home on the advice of her treating doctor, Dr. Debajit Debnath. The relative claimed that she was physically stable before admission and alleged that the necessary pre-operative examinations and procedures were not adequately followed before a caesarean section was performed. The family further alleged that they, including Kathika\u2019s husband, were not properly informed or consulted before the operation.<br \/><br \/>The family stated that after the caesarean section, both Kathika and her newborn daughter were initially reported to be in stable condition. Kathika remained at the nursing home for observation and recovery.<br \/><br \/>However, on October 7, the family was reportedly informed that her condition had become critical. She was subsequently referred to GBP Hospital in Agartala and admitted to the maternity emergency department. After spending a night there, she was transferred to the ICU in the hospital\u2019s Medicine Block for further treatment.<br \/><br \/>Despite receiving treatment in the ICU, Kathika died on October 23 at around 1:15 pm, according to the family.<br \/><br \/>Following her death, the family raised serious allegations regarding the medical care she received and questioned the qualifications and credentials of the doctors involved. They alleged that some practitioners might be operating with questionable or fraudulent qualifications and called for an investigation into the nursing home\u2019s functioning. These allegations have not been independently verified.<br \/><br \/>The family appealed to Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha to order a comprehensive inquiry into the case and ensure strict legal action against anyone found guilty.
