He also highlighted the regular observance of the Matri Vandana programme at the Tripureswari Temple on every Amavasya (new moon day).<br><br>He said the improvement of tourism infrastructure in Tripura had led to a significant increase in the number of tourists visiting the state. The growing influx of visitors has also contributed to improvements in the socio-economic conditions of people living in and around tourist destinations.<br><br>The programme was presided over by Matabari Panchayat Samiti Chairperson Shilpi Das. Among those present were Gomati Zilla Parishad Sabhadhipati Debal Deb Roy, Udaipur Municipal Council Chairperson Shital Chandra Majumder, Gomati Zilla Parishad Vice-Chairperson Sujan Kumar Sen and Additional District Magistrate Subhash Acharya, among others.<br><br>Manoj Saha, Joint Director of the Department of Information and Cultural Affairs (ICA), delivered the welcome address.<br><br>The festival was jointly organised by the Department of Information and Cultural Affairs and the Gomati District Administration.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tripura, 10 Oct 2026: MLA Abhishek Deb Roy inaugurated the Tripura Sundari Festival at the Tripureswari Temple premises in Matabari on Friday evening.
