Bengaluru, Oct 10: Adarsh Lake Front (ALF), a residential community in Bengaluru, is set to organise Durga Puja for the first time, bringing residents together to celebrate the festival’s religious, cultural and social significance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The inaugural celebration aims to provide residents with an opportunity to participate in traditional rituals and festivities associated with one of Bengal’s most cherished festivals while fostering a spirit of devotion, unity and community bonding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The event is expected to bring together families, children and residents from diverse cultural backgrounds to seek the blessings of Goddess Durga and experience the traditions, music, art and festive spirit associated with the occasion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Durga Puja symbolises the triumph of good over evil and the victory of righteousness. For the Bengali community, the festival also represents an emotional homecoming, connecting generations through traditional customs, cultural performances, cuisine and shared celebrations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The ALF initiative seeks to extend this festive spirit beyond cultural boundaries by creating an inclusive platform where residents can participate in the celebrations and appreciate the traditions associated with the festival, irrespective of their backgrounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Puja Committee comprises Arindum Sircar, Parvez Zaman, Arnov Kumar, Soumen Sarkar, Ankita Kumari, Swati and Moumita, who are working together to organise the community’s first-ever Durga Puja.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Organising the festival for the first time involves collective planning, coordination and active participation by residents. The committee members aim to make the inaugural celebration a memorable occasion and establish a cultural tradition within the residential complex.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The initiative is also expected to strengthen neighbourhood relationships, encourage greater participation in community activities and provide children with an opportunity to learn about India’s diverse cultural heritage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As preparations gather pace ahead of the festivities, residents are looking forward to welcoming Maa Durga with devotion and enthusiasm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
