Agartala, October 2:<\/strong> A yarn distribution and certificate presentation programme will be held in Tripura’s Krishnapur Assembly constituency on October 13, with Tribal Welfare Minister and local MLA Bikash Debbarma reviewing arrangements for the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Debbarma chaired a preparatory meeting at the BJP Mandal office in Krishnapur on Friday, where he discussed arrangements for the programme scheduled to be held at the Poush Sankranti Mela grounds near Chakmaghat Barrage, organisers said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Chief Minister Manik Saha is expected to attend the programme and hand over certificates to beneficiaries besides overseeing the distribution of yarn, they said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The minister directed workers to intensify outreach in the constituency and ensure that eligible families are informed about the programme ahead of the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n He particularly stressed the need to reach residents of tribal and remote areas and called for door-to-door contact with households. Workers were asked to personally inform residents about the programme and maintain regular communication with beneficiaries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Debbarma said government services and welfare benefits should reach citizens irrespective of their political affiliation and urged workers to create awareness about various government schemes and services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Members of the BJP’s Tribal Morcha were also asked to participate in the outreach exercise, particularly in remote villages where communication gaps could affect people’s access to information about welfare initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The meeting was attended by BJP Mandal general secretary Wathrai Molsum and other local leaders, workers and supporters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The October 13 programme will include distribution of yarn to beneficiaries, with the initiative linked to traditional livelihood activities, besides presentation of government certificates to eligible residents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Residents of Ratia, Durgapur, South Durgapur and adjoining areas are expected to benefit from the programme, organisers said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Preparations at the Poush Sankranti Mela grounds are underway ahead of the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Debbarma asked workers to give special attention to remote and tribal habitations and ensure that information about the programme reaches eligible households.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The meeting also discussed mobilisation and logistical arrangements for the proposed gathering.
