According to the police, the suspects were initially detained from an area near a hotel known as Shubhadristi. During interrogation, the detainees allegedly revealed that a vehicle containing the suspected contraband had been concealed at another location.<br><br>Police subsequently searched the vehicle and recovered approximately 3,000 bottles of Escaf cough syrup. The seized consignment has an estimated market value of around \u20b930 lakh.<br><br>The operation was conducted in the presence of a Magistrate and a Drug Inspector, with police stating that all necessary procedures and formalities were being followed.<br><br>Police also recovered four suspected fake number plates from the location. Officials said the number plates are currently being examined as part of the ongoing investigation.<br><br>According to the police, they had received information that the detained individuals were involved in the movement of contraband. Their interrogation subsequently led investigators to the concealed vehicle and the recovery of the cough syrup.<br><br>The police said the investigation is still underway and further details will emerge as the inquiry progresses.
