Agartala, September 24:<\/strong> Community participation and coordinated action formed the focus of North Tripura\u2019s presentation at the 9th India International Water Week (IIWW) 2026 in New Delhi, where District Magistrate and Collector Chandni Chandran showcased three water conservation initiatives on Thursday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Chandran addressed the Practitioners\u2019 Forum on Best Practices at Bharat Mandapam and outlined the district\u2019s efforts to bring together government agencies, communities and private-sector organisations for sustainable management of water resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The presentation included the Uttar Jal Sanchay Yatra<\/strong>, a district administration initiative aimed at expanding water conservation efforts through local participation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Chandran also highlighted the rainwater harvesting saturation initiative in Vanghmun<\/strong>, a community-driven programme focused on increasing rainwater harvesting coverage and strengthening local involvement in conservation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Another initiative showcased was the springshed management programme in Jampui and Damcherra blocks<\/strong>.
