{"id":26497,"date":"2026-09-21T14:36:16","date_gmt":"2026-09-21T14:36:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aguli.in\/?p=26497"},"modified":"2026-09-21T17:33:30","modified_gmt":"2026-09-21T17:33:30","slug":"new-icu-and-sterilisation-unit-inaugurated-at-gbp-hospital","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aguli.in\/index.php\/2026\/09\/21\/new-icu-and-sterilisation-unit-inaugurated-at-gbp-hospital\/","title":{"rendered":"New ICU and sterilisation unit inaugurated at GBP Hospital"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Agartala, September 21:<\/strong> Healthcare infrastructure at AGMC and GBP Hospital received a boost on Monday with the inauguration of a new Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and a Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha formally opened the ICU at the newly developed Super Specialty Block and the CSSD at the hospital during a programme attended by senior health officials and medical professionals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">MLA Meena Rani Sarkar joined the event as the special guest, while Health and Family Welfare Department Secretary Kiran Gittey attended as the guest of honour. Doctors, healthcare workers and other officials were also present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Speaking at the programme, Dr Saha said the state government was placing emphasis on upgrading medical infrastructure and expanding access to quality healthcare services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He said the government had been undertaking several initiatives to improve facilities at GBP Hospital and strengthen its capacity to provide specialised treatment to patients from across Tripura.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The newly inaugurated ICU will add to the hospital&#8217;s critical-care infrastructure, while the CSSD is intended to strengthen the sterilisation and infection-control system through improved management of medical equipment and supplies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dr Saha said continued investment in hospital infrastructure was necessary to modernise the state&#8217;s healthcare system and ensure better services for patients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The two facilities are expected to streamline key aspects of patient care and hospital operations while supporting the delivery of advanced medical services at the referral hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The inauguration is part of the ongoing efforts to develop AGMC and GBP Hospital as a stronger healthcare facility, with infrastructure upgrades aimed at improving treatment and patient-care services.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Agartala, September 21: Healthcare infrastructure at AGMC and GBP Hospital received a boost on Monday with the inauguration of a new Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and a Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD).
