According to police, the team noticed the two youths under suspicious circumstances and intercepted them for questioning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A subsequent search led to the recovery of the cannabis, following which both suspects were taken into custody. The seized contraband was also brought to the police station for further legal proceedings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">East Agartala Police Station Officer-in-Charge Krishnadhan Sarkar confirmed the arrests and said the recovery was made during regular patrolling. A case has been registered against the accused under relevant provisions of law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Police have launched an investigation to determine the origin of the seized cannabis and establish its intended destination. Investigators are also examining whether the accused were acting independently or were linked to other persons involved in the supply and transportation of narcotics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Officials said the investigation would focus on tracing the route through which the consignment was allegedly being moved and identifying any possible connections with a broader drug network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The seizure is part of continued police efforts to prevent the transportation and distribution of narcotics in Agartala and surrounding areas. Security personnel have been maintaining increased vigilance through patrols and surveillance at different locations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Police said further action would be taken based on information emerging during the investigation.
