Tripura, 21 Sep 2026:<\/strong> Allegations of financial irregularities have surfaced against UCO Bank, with a customer claiming that approximately \u20b911,94,569 was withdrawn from his savings account without authorization. The complaint has raised questions about the alleged misuse of withdrawal slips and the role of a former branch manager.

Dilip Kumar Das, a government employee from Durgapur in Kailashahar, has submitted a written complaint to the Assistant General Manager and Field Inspector of UCO Bank’s Guwahati Zonal Office, seeking a detailed investigation into the alleged transactions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the complaint, Das applied for a \u20b910 lakh home loan at UCO Bank’s Chandrapur Branch in Dharmanagar in 2021. He alleged that the then Branch Manager, Surjit Mallick, asked him to sign several withdrawal slips during the loan application process.

Das claimed that he signed the documents while trusting the bank, but later discovered that the slips had allegedly been used to withdraw money from his savings account without his knowledge.

He stated that he discovered the alleged irregularities while examining his bank statement on January 5, 2026.

25 Withdrawal Transactions Reportedly Identified<\/strong>

The complainant claimed that 25 withdrawal transactions were identified, while seven related withdrawal slips have reportedly not been provided to him. He also alleged that some of the withdrawal slips contained forged signatures.

One of the documents reportedly mentions the name \u201cDilip Pal\u201d instead of Dilip Kumar Das. He questioned how a withdrawal of \u20b945,000 could have been approved using a document containing a different name.

The allegations have raised questions about the bank’s document verification and transaction approval procedures.

\u20b92.42 Lakh Loan Allegedly Sanctioned in His Name<\/strong>

Das further alleged that a loan amounting to \u20b92,42,000 was sanctioned and subsequently withdrawn in his name on March 18, 2022.

The loan account number mentioned in his complaint is 25200610008294.

He has sought clarification regarding the loan approval process, disbursement and supporting documentation.

Former Manager’s Alleged Role Under Question<\/strong>

The complainant also claimed that a bank employee informed him that the former branch manager had allegedly taken several withdrawal slips when leaving the bank.

However, this information has not been independently verified. The claim would require examination by the appropriate authorities as part of a formal investigation.

Separately, unverified claims have surfaced regarding the former manager’s alleged property acquisitions in different locations. These claims have not been supported by independently verified evidence, and no conclusion can be drawn regarding the source of any assets without a proper investigation.

Complainant Demands Impartial Investigation<\/strong>

Dilip Kumar Das has requested a comprehensive investigation into his account transactions, withdrawal slips and loan-related documents.

He has demanded that if the allegations are established, the unauthorized funds should be returned and appropriate legal action should be taken against those responsible.
