Families said the prolonged disruption made it difficult for students to study and prepare for their examinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Residents said power cuts have become a recurring feature in several parts of the city and called for preventive measures to address repeated technical faults. They urged the Tripura State Electricity Corporation Limited (TSECL) to strengthen maintenance of feeders, transformers and other distribution infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The issue has also revived questions about the availability of information during prolonged outages. Consumers have pointed to the 1912 electricity helpline and alleged that complaints are not always addressed promptly or accompanied by clear updates on the cause of faults and restoration schedules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Residents said timely communication becomes especially important when outages continue for several hours, allowing consumers to make alternative arrangements for essential activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They have urged TSECL to map areas prone to recurring faults, undertake regular preventive maintenance and improve the response time of field teams.
