A quarrel reportedly broke out between the couple over a minor domestic issue. During the argument, Bimal allegedly became violent, picked up an axe and struck his wife on the head.<br><br>Priyanka reportedly collapsed on the floor with severe bleeding. Hearing her cries, neighbours rushed to the house and took her to Bimal Singh Memorial Hospital at around 9:30 PM.<br><br>According to the attending doctor, Priyanka had sustained a serious injury and was in a critical condition, with significant blood loss. She was provided initial treatment before being referred to a higher medical facility for further treatment.<br><br>The doctor said, \u201cThe patient, Priyanka Mushahri, is 25 years old. As we were informed, her husband attacked her with an axe or similar sharp weapon, causing severe bleeding. Her condition was very serious and critical. After providing primary treatment, we referred her to a higher medical facility.\u201d<br><br>Priyanka was subsequently referred at around 10 PM for advanced treatment and is currently undergoing treatment in critical condition.<br><br>Following a complaint, Kamalpur Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation. However, the accused husband, Bimal Bhumij, is reportedly absconding.
