Agartala, September 10:<\/strong> The Students\u2019 Federation of India (SFI) Tripura State Committee has approached the state police seeking prompt action over a series of alleged attacks involving students at educational institutions across the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In a memorandum submitted to the Inspector General of Police (Law & Order), the student organisation raised concerns over incidents it said had taken place during the past two weeks and sought stronger measures to ensure the safety of students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The SFI alleged that students were assaulted at Charilam English Medium School, Bharat Chandra Nagar School, MBB College, Ramthakur College and Ramkrishna College<\/strong>. According to the organisation, FIRs have been registered in connection with the incidents and information regarding the alleged accused, including their addresses, has been provided to the police.<\/p>\n\n\n\n However, the SFI claimed that no arrests had been made so far in the cases. It expressed concern that the alleged lack of visible action could undermine students\u2019 sense of security and create tension in and around educational campuses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The organisation further alleged that such incidents were affecting the democratic atmosphere in educational institutions. It said students should be able to express their views, organise peaceful programmes and participate in legitimate democratic activities without fear or intimidation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Seeking intervention from the police leadership, the SFI urged the IGP to direct the officials concerned to complete investigations without delay and initiate appropriate legal proceedings wherever evidence supports such action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The organisation also stressed the need for equal protection for students, regardless of their political or organisational affiliations. It said law enforcement authorities should ensure that complaints involving students are dealt with promptly and impartially.<\/p>\n\n\n\n SFI representatives maintained that educational institutions must remain safe spaces where students can pursue their studies and participate freely in academic and democratic activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The organisation appealed to the authorities to take preventive measures to avoid further incidents and restore confidence among students and the wider academic community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The allegations were made in the memorandum submitted by the SFI.
