As many as 225 nominations have been declared valid for 67 seats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The scrutiny was held at the Kumarghat Panchayat Samiti hall on Wednesday under the supervision of Block Development Officer and Returning Officer Sushanta Dutta. Contesting candidates and representatives of different political parties were present during the proceedings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dutta said the verification process was completed peacefully and followed the prescribed election procedures. Security personnel were deployed at and around the scrutiny centre as part of measures to maintain order during the exercise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The electoral contest in the block includes candidates from the BJP, TIPRA Motha, CPI(M) and Congress, along with independent candidates. The completion of scrutiny has now set the stage for candidates and political parties to step up their activities ahead of polling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The election has attracted attention among political parties seeking to strengthen their grassroots organisation and influence in local bodies. Candidates are expected to focus on village-level concerns, development issues and basic civic facilities during their outreach programmes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meanwhile, the administration is continuing preparations for the September 28 vote.
