Acting swiftly on the information, a team led by Mungiakami Police Station OC Raju Baidya reached the spot and kept the suspects under surveillance.<br><br>The two youths were subsequently detained and questioned. Police reportedly noticed inconsistencies in their statements, raising further suspicion. Their bags were then searched in the presence of DCM Sandeep Debbarma from the Teliamura Sub-Divisional Magistrate\u2019s office.<br><br>During the search, police recovered a total of 194 bottles of the banned Eskuf syrup from the bags. The seized narcotic substance is estimated to have a market value of over \u20b91 lakh.<br><br>DCM Sandeep Debbarma said the preliminary suspicion is that the banned substance was being transported for illegal trafficking. However, the exact source of the consignment and its intended destination will be established during the investigation.<br><br>Police have registered a case against the two arrested youths under the NDPS Act and are continuing their investigation. Authorities are also questioning the accused to determine whether other individuals are involved in the suspected drug trafficking network.<br><br>The seizure highlights the intensified efforts by Mungiakami Police to curb the illegal transportation of narcotic substances, particularly through railway routes.
