Agartala, September 5:<\/strong> Tipra Motha founder and royal scion Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarma<\/strong> said the Tripura government has assured that the Tiprasa Accord will be implemented in a time-bound manner within one month<\/strong>, following his meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha in New Delhi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a late-night Facebook Live, Pradyot welcomed Chief Minister Manik Saha\u2019s public statement on the implementation of the accord, saying the assurance was also given by Home Minister Amit Shah during the meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pradyot said the delay in implementing the accord had raised concerns among the Tiprasa community, but expressed confidence after the latest discussions in Delhi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe Tiprasa Accord will be implemented within one month. The Chief Minister has put this on record, and I welcome his statement,\u201d Pradyot said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

He stressed that he and his delegation had focused on constitutional rights, land rights, education, development and the future of the next generation<\/strong>, rather than seeking ministerial positions or chairmanships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pradyot also said discussions had taken place on land rights within the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC)<\/strong>. According to him, the state government has agreed to provide land rights within the ADC area, while he appealed for communal harmony and urged people not to create violence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe want to develop, we want to go ahead. We don’t want to create a Manipur in Tripura,\u201d he said, stressing that violence would ultimately hurt poor people and students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He further claimed that central funding for the TTAADC will be routed directly through the council<\/strong>, instead of being provided through the state government. He also mentioned proposals involving major central institutions and projects, including a university, IIM, AIIMS and NIFT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pradyot said discussions also covered financial support under the Tiprasa Accord, claiming that \u20b9250 crore related to the NLFT and ATTF accords<\/strong> would also be included for the Tiprasa community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the political front, Pradyot indicated that discussions with the IPFT<\/strong> were continuing. He argued that if Tipra Motha and IPFT came together, their common demand would be to secure rights for the Tiprasa people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also rejected concerns that land rights would be limited to Tipra Motha supporters, saying the benefits should extend to Tiprasa people irrespective of their political affiliation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pradyot urged people to give the government the promised one-month timeframe, saying that if the accord is not implemented within that period, the Chief Minister’s public commitment would remain on record.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said he would return with a more detailed Facebook Live the following day to explain what was discussed and what was agreed upon during the Delhi meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
