{"id":25524,"date":"2026-08-23T17:40:21","date_gmt":"2026-08-23T17:40:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aguli.in\/?p=25524"},"modified":"2026-08-23T17:42:54","modified_gmt":"2026-08-23T17:42:54","slug":"health-secretary-kiran-gitte-visits-amarpur-hospital-reviews-healthcare-infrastructure","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aguli.in\/index.php\/2026\/08\/23\/health-secretary-kiran-gitte-visits-amarpur-hospital-reviews-healthcare-infrastructure\/","title":{"rendered":"Health Secretary Kiran Gitte Visits Amarpur Hospital, Reviews Healthcare Infrastructure"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Tripura, 23 August 2026:<\/strong> With the objective of strengthening healthcare services and ensuring quality medical facilities reach people in rural and remote areas, Health Secretary Kiran Gitte visited Amarpur Sub-Divisional Hospital and reviewed its healthcare infrastructure and services.<br><br>During the visit, the Health Secretary inspected various wards and facilities of the hospital to assess the ground reality of healthcare infrastructure. He was accompanied by Director of Health Services Dr. Debashree Debbarma, Gomati District Magistrate Rinku Lather, Gomati CMO Dr. Kamal Reang and other officials.<br><br>Speaking to the media after the visit, Kiran Gitte said the infrastructure and healthcare facilities at Amarpur Sub-Divisional Hospital have improved significantly over the past several years. While medical tests were earlier conducted largely through outside agencies, most diagnostic services are now available within the hospital.<br><br>The hospital currently has facilities including digital X-ray, ultrasonography, UGC, an advanced operation theatre and modern treatment services for mothers and children. Machinery for Thyroid and CBC testing is also expected to become operational soon.<br><br>At present, seven doctors are serving at the hospital. The Health Secretary said the requirement for an anesthesiologist, medicine specialist, orthopaedic specialist and additional junior doctors would be placed before Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha.<br><br>Around 150 patients visit the hospital&#8217;s outdoor section every day, while approximately 30\u201340 patients are referred to Udaipur or the district hospital every month. The department aims to further strengthen the hospital&#8217;s infrastructure and reduce referral cases to zero, enabling people in remote areas to receive comprehensive treatment closer to home.<br><br>Kiran Gitte also stressed the importance of maintaining adequate blood supplies for uninterrupted operation theatre and emergency services. He appealed to local clubs, social organisations and villagers to organise voluntary blood donation camps to ensure sufficient blood stock at the hospital.<br><br>The Health Secretary further said work is underway to introduce digital and paperless healthcare services at Amarpur Hospital, on the lines of Agartala&#8217;s Civil Hospital. The Integrated Health Management System and Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) have been introduced to make healthcare services faster, easier and fully digital.<br><br>In the coming days, patients will be able to receive doctors&#8217; prescriptions, X-ray, UGC and other diagnostic reports, as well as discharge certificates, digitally through email. The initiative is expected to save both time and money for patients and their families.<br><br>Following the Health Secretary&#8217;s visit, Director of Health Services Dr. Debashree Debbarma held a review meeting at the hospital with Gomati CMO Dr. Kamal Reang, SDMO (Udaipur) Dr. Biswajit Debnath, doctors and programme managers.<br><br>Dr. Debashree Debbarma said that, following the directions and suggestions of the Health Secretary, all necessary steps would be taken to further improve healthcare services at Amarpur Hospital.<br><br>She also informed that the water connection work for the newly constructed staff quarters would be completed soon, following which the quarters would be handed over to the respective staff members.<br><br>The Director of Health Services appreciated the doctors and healthcare workers for their dedicated service and for ensuring uninterrupted healthcare services, including on holidays.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tripura, 23 August 2026: With the objective of strengthening healthcare services and ensuring quality medical facilities reach people in rural and remote areas, Health Secretary Kiran Gitte visited Amarpur Sub-Divisional Hospital and reviewed its healthcare infrastructure and services.
