The two-day event will be held on September 10 and 11 at the temple of Goddess Sangrangma in Dakhil Singh Reang Para, Salthang Manu, on the occasion of the new moon of Bhadra month.<br><br>The annual festival draws devotees and visitors from different parts of Tripura, cutting across communities. Along with religious rituals, the event showcases the traditional culture, heritage and folk life of the Reang community.<br><br>As part of the preparations, government departments are planning to set up stalls at the fairground to inform visitors about various welfare schemes and public services. An overnight cultural programme is also expected to be organised for visitors.<br><br>A coordination meeting was held on Friday at the Sangrangma temple premises to review preparations, security and arrangements for the festival. The meeting was attended by PTG and Minority Welfare Minister Shukla Charan Noatia, MDC Kenaram Reang, South Tripura District Magistrate Muhammad Sajjad P., IAS, Shantirbazar SDM Tarun Kanti Sarkar, police officials, representatives of the Bru Sangrangma Mathh social organisation and officials from various departments.<br><br>During the meeting, discussions were held on law and order, traffic management, parking, visitor safety and overall arrangements. It was also decided that the liquor counter in the Birchandra Manu area would remain closed during the two days of the festival.<br><br>Minister Shukla Charan Noatia announced financial assistance of \u20b95 lakh for organising the mela. The organisers expressed hope that the support would help make the silver jubilee edition more organised and attractive.<br><br>Speaking about the 25th edition, a representative of the Bru community said the occasion is particularly significant as it marks the Silver Jubilee of the state-level Sangrangma Puja. The organising body has submitted several demands to the administration and expressed hope that different departments would extend the necessary support. The representative also said that the Chief Minister, the Tribal Welfare Minister, the Finance Minister, other ministers and MLAs have been invited and are expected to attend the programme.<br><br>Meanwhile, Shantirbazar SDM called for active cooperation from all departments to ensure the festival becomes a successful and model programme. He also highlighted the need to use the occasion to spread awareness against drug abuse and child marriage, particularly among young people.<br><br>The SDM urged the Bru community to support the administration&#8217;s efforts to prevent child marriage and encourage education so that young people can build better careers and lives.<br><br>He also stressed the importance of keeping the festival premises clean. Visitors and organisers were urged to properly segregate and dispose of waste after the programme so that the area remains clean even after the festival.
