{"id":25279,"date":"2026-08-17T18:10:33","date_gmt":"2026-08-17T18:10:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aguli.in\/?p=25279"},"modified":"2026-08-18T02:29:59","modified_gmt":"2026-08-18T02:29:59","slug":"two-day-media-training-workshop-begins-in-unakoti","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aguli.in\/index.php\/2026\/08\/17\/two-day-media-training-workshop-begins-in-unakoti\/","title":{"rendered":"Two-Day Media Training Workshop Begins in Unakoti"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Tripura, August 17<\/strong>: A two-day district-level training workshop for journalists began on Monday at Unakoti Kala Kshetra in Kailashahar, organised by the Skill Development Department of the Tripura Government.<br><br>The workshop was inaugurated by Unakoti District Magistrate Megha Jain, IAS. Programme Coordinator Dr. Tushar Kanti Acharya, along with senior journalists and officials, was also present at the inaugural programme.<br><br>Around 32 journalists from the Kailashahar and Kumarghat subdivisions are participating in the training programme. The sessions are focusing on various aspects of journalism, including news gathering, reporting, media laws, editing and modern media technologies.<br><br>Addressing the gathering, District Magistrate Megha Jain said the workshop is aimed at strengthening and polishing the existing skills of working journalists. She highlighted that the sessions would cover emerging areas such as the use of Artificial Intelligence in media, still photography, video production and techniques to improve the quality of news content in line with national-level standards.<br><br>She also underlined the importance of the media as the \u201cfourth pillar of democracy\u201d, recalling its significant role during India\u2019s freedom movement. Referring to the coverage of Mahatma Gandhi\u2019s Dandi March and the Salt Satyagraha, she noted how journalists played an important role in taking the movement to national and international audiences.<br><br>The District Magistrate further appreciated the cooperation extended by journalists and the Information and Cultural Affairs (ICA) Department to the district administration in disseminating important public information.
