{"id":25186,"date":"2026-08-14T15:58:33","date_gmt":"2026-08-14T15:58:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aguli.in\/?p=25186"},"modified":"2026-08-14T17:12:06","modified_gmt":"2026-08-14T17:12:06","slug":"cm-saha-urges-gen-z-to-remember-horrors-of-partition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aguli.in\/index.php\/2026\/08\/14\/cm-saha-urges-gen-z-to-remember-horrors-of-partition\/","title":{"rendered":"CM Saha Urges Gen-Z to Remember Horrors of Partition"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Friday attended a programme organised at the Rabindra Auditorium of Maharaja Bir Bikram (MBB) College in Agartala to observe <strong>Partition Horrors Remembrance Day<\/strong>, highlighting the need to remember the suffering and sacrifices associated with one of the most painful chapters in India\u2019s history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Addressing the gathering, Dr. Saha said that while <strong>August 15 represents the joy and pride of India\u2019s Independence, August 14 serves as a solemn reminder of the horrors of Partition<\/strong>, when countless people lost their lives, families were separated and millions were forced to leave their homes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Chief Minister said remembering the tragedy is important for ensuring that younger generations understand the enormous human cost of Partition and draw lessons from the country\u2019s history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Speaking about the significance of the national flag, Dr. Saha said every colour of the <strong>Tricolour carries stories of sacrifice, courage and patriotism<\/strong> demonstrated by countless freedom fighters who dedicated their lives to the nation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He emphasised that Indians share a deep emotional bond with the Tricolour, which remains a powerful symbol of national unity and pride. Referring to the <strong>\u2018Har Ghar Tiranga\u2019 campaign<\/strong>, the Chief Minister said the initiative seeks to honour freedom fighters while strengthening the spirit of patriotism among citizens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dr. Saha made a special appeal to the younger generation, particularly <strong>Gen-Z<\/strong>, to develop a deeper understanding of the country\u2019s history and play an active role in nation building.
