{"id":25121,"date":"2026-08-12T18:20:51","date_gmt":"2026-08-12T18:20:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aguli.in\/?p=25121"},"modified":"2026-08-12T18:21:51","modified_gmt":"2026-08-12T18:21:51","slug":"chief-minister-launches-har-ghar-tiranga-campaign-in-tripura","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aguli.in\/index.php\/2026\/08\/12\/chief-minister-launches-har-ghar-tiranga-campaign-in-tripura\/","title":{"rendered":"Chief Minister Launches \u2018Har Ghar Tiranga\u2019 Campaign in Tripura"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Agartala, 12 August 2026:<\/strong> Tripura Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha on Wednesday inaugurated the \u2018Har Ghar Tiranga\u2019 rally from the historic Ujjayanta Palace premises in Agartala, calling upon citizens to actively participate in the nationwide campaign and uphold the dignity of the national flag.<br><br>The rally, organised as part of the fifth edition of the \u2018Har Ghar Tiranga\u2019 campaign, began at Ujjayanta Palace and passed through the city\u2019s major roads before concluding at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan. A Tiranga Exhibition and Tiranga Concert were organised at the venue as part of the celebrations.<br><br>Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Manik Saha said the national flag is not merely a piece of cloth or a combination of colours but a powerful symbol of India\u2019s freedom, strength, peace and progress. He said saffron represents sacrifice, white symbolises truth, while green signifies growth and prosperity. The Ashoka Chakra at the centre of the flag inspires citizens to move forward continuously.<br><br>The Chief Minister highlighted the deep connection between the Tricolour and the sacrifices of India\u2019s freedom fighters and martyrs. He said every citizen has a responsibility to protect the dignity and honour of the national flag.<br><br>The \u2018Har Ghar Tiranga\u2019 campaign, launched nationwide by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2022 under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav initiative, has grown into a major people\u2019s movement. According to the Chief Minister, the campaign has helped strengthen respect for the national flag, patriotism and national pride among citizens.<br><br>He said the fifth edition of the campaign is being observed across the country from August 9 to August 17 through a range of programmes, including Tiranga rallies, exhibitions, concerts, bike and cycle rallies at district, block and panchayat levels, tricolour illuminations, rangoli competitions and selfie campaigns with the national flag.<br><br>This year\u2019s celebrations are also dedicated to the 150th birth anniversary of \u2018Vande Mataram\u2019, India\u2019s national song. The Chief Minister appealed to people from all sections of society in Tripura to participate actively in the campaign.<br><br>Agriculture Minister Ratan Lal Nath, Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy, Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury, Industries and Commerce Minister Santana Chakma, Cooperation Minister Shukla Charan Noatia, Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Tinku Roy and Fisheries Minister Sudhangshu Das were among those present.<br><br>Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor and MLA Dipak Majumder, MLA Abhishek Debroy, MLA Mina Rani Sarkar, Acting Sabhadhipati of West Tripura Zilla Parishad Biswajit Shil and Information and Cultural Affairs Secretary Kiran Gitte also attended the programme.<br><br>A large number of school students, Anganwadi workers, ASHA workers and other dignitaries participated in the rally.
