{"id":25002,"date":"2026-08-10T04:46:43","date_gmt":"2026-08-10T04:46:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aguli.in\/?p=25002"},"modified":"2026-08-10T06:02:33","modified_gmt":"2026-08-10T06:02:33","slug":"bangladeshi-youth-dies-in-bsf-firing-along-kailashahar-border","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aguli.in\/index.php\/2026\/08\/10\/bangladeshi-youth-dies-in-bsf-firing-along-kailashahar-border\/","title":{"rendered":"Bangladeshi Youth Dies in BSF Firing Along Kailashahar Border"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Tripura, August 10, 2026:<\/strong> A 24-year-old Bangladeshi youth was killed in BSF firing along the India-Bangladesh border in the Kailashahar area of Unakoti district, triggering tension in the border region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The deceased has been identified as Tara Mia (24), a resident of Dasteki village in the Prithimpasha area of Kulaura upazila in Moulvibazar district, Bangladesh. His father has been identified as Abdul Malik.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to local sources and BSF sources, the incident occurred at around midnight on Saturday near the fencing light area close to Border Pillar No. 1845\/63-S, under Magurawli Gram Panchayat in the Gournagar RD Block area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sources said a group of around five to six Bangladeshi youths allegedly attempted to cross the border carrying various items suspected to be intended for smuggling. The BSF personnel on duty reportedly warned them repeatedly to stop and leave the area. However, the group allegedly did not comply, following which the BSF opened fire to bring the situation under control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tara Mia sustained serious bullet injuries and died at the spot, according to the sources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Following the incident, BSF personnel and police from Irani Police Station reached the location and initiated the necessary legal procedures. The body was subsequently recovered and brought to Unakoti District Hospital for post-mortem examination, where it is currently being kept in the morgue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Speaking to the media, Dr Imran Ahmed of Unakoti District Hospital confirmed that the body was brought to the hospital by Irani Police Station personnel and BSF personnel at around 9 am for post-mortem examination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cToday, at around 9 am (09 August), Irani Police Station and BSF personnel brought a dead body to us to keep it in the morgue.
