{"id":24962,"date":"2026-08-08T10:09:56","date_gmt":"2026-08-08T10:09:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aguli.in\/?p=24962"},"modified":"2026-08-08T10:11:01","modified_gmt":"2026-08-08T10:11:01","slug":"evening-opd-services-to-begin-at-dhalai-district-hospital-from-monday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aguli.in\/index.php\/2026\/08\/08\/evening-opd-services-to-begin-at-dhalai-district-hospital-from-monday\/","title":{"rendered":"Evening OPD Services to Begin at Dhalai District Hospital from Monday"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Tripura, 8 August 2026<\/strong>: Dhalai District Hospital is set to introduce evening Outpatient Department (OPD) services from Monday, aiming to make specialist healthcare more accessible to people across the district.<br><br>Dhalai District Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr. Bidhan Bhowmik said the evening OPD will operate daily from 5 PM to 7 PM, allowing patients to consult specialist doctors from different departments according to a fixed weekly schedule.<br><br>Speaking about the initiative, Dr. Bhowmik said the decision was taken to ensure that healthcare services reach people at a more convenient time.<br><br>\u201cWe have been providing morning OPD services. Now, we want to provide better healthcare facilities to the people of Dhalai. Keeping this objective in mind, we are starting the evening OPD from Monday,\u201d he said.<br><br>Under the new schedule, specialist doctors will provide evening OPD services on different days. Medicine services will be available on Monday, Surgery on Tuesday, Gynaecology on Wednesday, Orthopaedics on Thursday, Ophthalmology on Friday and ENT services on Saturday.<br><br>Dr. Bhowmik said Dhalai is an aspirational district where many people continue to face healthcare challenges despite improvements in communication and connectivity.<br><br>He said the 5 PM to 7 PM timing has been chosen after considering the difficulties faced by patients travelling from distant areas. Starting the OPD at 5 PM will allow patients to complete their consultations and begin their journey back home without facing greater difficulty in arranging transportation later in the evening.<br><br>\u201cWe want people to benefit from this service. We will initially start with one department each day and gradually work towards improving and expanding the services,\u201d Dr. Bhowmik said.<br><br>He also appealed to the media and the public to share suggestions and ideas on how healthcare services can be further improved and made more accessible to people.<br><br>The introduction of evening OPD services is expected to provide an additional healthcare option for residents of Dhalai who may find it difficult to visit the hospital during regular morning OPD hours.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tripura, 8 August 2026: Dhalai District Hospital is set to introduce evening Outpatient Department (OPD) services from Monday, aiming to make specialist healthcare more accessible to people across the district.
