According to family members, Sanjit had been missing for the past four to five days. They also stated that he had been struggling with severe drug addiction and had been living an unstable life for a long time.<br><br>Speaking to the media, Sanjit&#8217;s brother said the family received information on Sunday morning that a body had been found in the pond. He identified his brother based on the clothes he was wearing, adding that Sanjit had been wandering from place to place for several days before he went missing.<br><br>Kalyanpur Police rushed to the spot after receiving information about an unidentified body floating in the pond. Later, the deceased was identified as Sanjit Tanti, who was locally known by the nickname &#8220;Pahar.&#8221;<br><br>Investigating Officer Anjan Debbarma said the body was found in a highly decomposed state. Preliminary information suggests that the deceased had been missing for four to five days before the body was discovered.<br><br>Police recovered the body and sent it for a post-mortem examination. The exact cause of death will be determined after the autopsy report is received.
