Bengaluru, July 31:<\/strong> The Miss Universe India 2026 pageant moved a step closer to its grand finale with the successful completion of the highly anticipated Swimsuit Round<\/strong> at Wonderla, Bengaluru, where the country’s 52 finalists<\/strong> displayed confidence, fitness and elegance on the runway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Widely regarded as one of the most important segments of the competition, the Swimsuit Round assesses contestants on physical fitness, confidence, personality, stage presence and runway walk. While the round does not directly eliminate contestants, it carries significant weight in the overall judging process, with performances evaluated according to international pageant standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Representing states and regions from across India, the finalists walked the poolside runway with poise and professionalism, reflecting months of rigorous preparation and dedication. Their performances impressed both the judging panel and the audience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beyond glamour and fashion, the event celebrated India’s cultural diversity, modern outlook and the spirit of women’s empowerment, making it one of the standout moments of the competition so far.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking on the occasion, Nikhil Anand<\/strong>, Director of Miss Universe India, said the platform is far more than a beauty pageant, describing it as an opportunity to empower young women to become confident, responsible and inspiring leaders. He expressed confidence that this year’s talented finalists have the potential to bring the Miss Universe crown back to India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nishant Anand<\/strong>, Director of the Glamanand Group, said the 2026 edition features one of the strongest line-ups in the pageant’s history. He noted that selecting a winner would be a difficult task, given the exceptional talent and performance displayed by all 52 finalists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sarveshh Kashyap<\/strong>, Public Relations Director of Miss Universe India, said the competition is being conducted with complete transparency and in line with international pageant standards. He highlighted India’s legacy at the Miss Universe pageant through winners such as Sushmita Sen, Lara Dutta and Harnaaz Sandhu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The finalists will now compete in several additional evaluation rounds before the Grand Finale<\/strong>, scheduled to be held in Jaipur on August 23, 2026<\/strong>.
