{"id":24544,"date":"2026-07-28T13:04:36","date_gmt":"2026-07-28T13:04:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aguli.in\/?p=24544"},"modified":"2026-07-28T13:06:31","modified_gmt":"2026-07-28T13:06:31","slug":"39-amarnath-yatra-pilgrims-injured-after-bus-skids-off-road-in-jks-ganderbal-all-stable","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aguli.in\/index.php\/2026\/07\/28\/39-amarnath-yatra-pilgrims-injured-after-bus-skids-off-road-in-jks-ganderbal-all-stable\/","title":{"rendered":"39 Amarnath Yatra Pilgrims Injured After Bus Skids Off Road in J&amp;K&#8217;s Ganderbal; All Stable"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Srinagar, July 28:<\/strong> Thirty-nine pilgrims returning from the Shri Amarnath Yatra were injured after a bus carrying around 50 devotees skidded off the road and crashed near Hariganiwan in the Ganderbal district of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday morning.<br><br>According to officials, the bus was travelling from Baltal to Srinagar when the driver reportedly lost control while negotiating a sharp curve near S Mor in the Ganiwan area. The vehicle plunged nearly 20 metres into a ditch before crashing into a residential house. The impact damaged the house but prevented the bus from falling into the nearby Sindh River, averting what could have been a much larger tragedy.<br><br>Personnel from the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Jammu and Kashmir Police, Army, civil administration, and local residents launched a swift rescue operation. All the injured pilgrims were safely evacuated and initially taken to Kangan Hospital before being shifted to Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Srinagar, for further treatment.<br><br>Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha visited SKIMS Hospital to meet the injured pilgrims and review their treatment. He confirmed that all 39 injured devotees are in stable condition and responding well to medical care. The Lieutenant Governor directed health authorities and the district administration to ensure the best possible treatment and assistance for the injured.<br><br>Chief Minister Omar Abdullah also expressed concern over the accident and closely monitored the rescue and relief operations.<br><br>Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident.
