Her only son, 17-year-old Jacob Debbarma, is currently working in Bengaluru.<br><br>According to local residents, the incident took place around 11:30 p.m. on Monday, when an alleged attacker, identified as Dhanya Mohan Jamatia of the Udaipur Killa area, reportedly entered the woman&#8217;s house and repeatedly assaulted her with a sharp dao, leaving her home and veranda covered in blood.<br><br>Hearing her screams, neighbours rushed to the spot and rescued her in a critically injured condition. She was first taken to Bishramganj Hospital for initial treatment before being referred to GB Pant Hospital in Agartala after her condition deteriorated.<br><br>Police from Bishramganj Police Station reached the scene at around 11 a.m. on Tuesday and launched an investigation. A search operation is underway to trace and apprehend the accused.<br><br>The incident was confirmed by Sub-Inspector Shanti Bahu Jamatia of Bishramganj Police Station and local residents.
